Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills-   from where will my help come?

My help comes from the Lord,  who made heaven and earth.

I know its not Sunday... which means I'm a bit behind.... but I think Thursday is a good day for a scripture layout too!!  This verse has been in my head a lot the last few weeks and I wanted to document it.

I created this one for the Purple pumpkin December sketch.

Mothers Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums, Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers, Godmothers and Mums-to-be!

Today's Scrapbooking Scripture Sunday layout is dedicated to my Mum, and features a photo from our 2011 Mother's Day celebration!  The scripture I chose to use was one from Proverbs.

"Her children rise up and call her blessed"

I have created this layout for Purple Pumpkin, using the May sketch and the gorgeous Snuggle Pot and Cuddlepie collection!.  I thought this was especially appropriate as Mum was a children's librarian and introduced me to the May Gibbs' stories very early on!

Today's Scrapbooking Scripture verse comes to you from Romans 8, and whilst the verse may not have helped our Melbourne Renegades make it to the Twenty20 finals this year, I know it holds true for our lives!

"If God is for us, no one can defeat us"

I have used the inspiration picture from the "Show us your stuff" April 15 challenge for this layout.  I took my inspiration from the red and white dots, and the green ribbon!  My handmade items on this layout are the purple pumpkin spotted buttons, and the "Renegades" bunting I made!

Happy Anniversary

17 years ago today I married my soul mate!  Happy Anniversary Steven-  I'll love you til the deserts turn to ice and the camels come skating home!

Celebrating our anniversary today made it quite easy for me to pick a verse for my personal Scrapbooking Scripture Sunday challenge.  

"What God has joined together, let no one separate"

I completed this layout for the Purple Pumpkin monthly sketch challenge.  This is the sketch..... I strayed a little from the original but I think you can still see the basics of the sketch in there somewhere!

I used the gorgeous purple pumpkin extra large dotty buttons and a few home made flowers to complete the layout.
