Get Picky- October

Get Picky is a fabulous new blog that has just been launched. The first sketch challenge went live on Friday morning. Here is my entry!

Stuck?! Sketch... October

Here is the first of my Stuck sketch entries for October!

Scraphappykat October sketch

This month the sketch challenge at Scraphappykat also required us to capture the colours of India. "think bright ..... golds, pinks, oranges, greens and yellows".
As soon as I read the challenge I knew I had the perfect photos of Mum and Meg from the Little India guide camp in August

Scrap the Boys- October Challenge

The Scrap the Boys October challenge was a trick or treat challenge. I chose "trick"- to scrap a trick your boy does..... and Tom's is to always take self-portraits on cameras. Every time I download the photos I find his smiling face in a photo I know I didn't take!!

I'm a Cover girl!

Happy dancing this week! I was in the local newsagency today and spotted a new magazine..... with a set of my cards on the cover! The cards were published in Cardmaking and Papercraft in May last year and I was so stoken to have one of the cards on the cover..... but this is the WHOLE SET! And I had no idea it was even coming out!!

September 123 Challenge

Great to see the 123 Challenge blog is back! This month you had to use the colour orange, the word "Bloom" and handmade flowers. I had a go at making quilled flowers for the first time and am really happy with how they turned out! The title reads "God's most beautiful thoughts bloom into little girls"- How true!!

Kraft it Up

My September Kraft it up entry! You had to take inspiration from this picture.... I went with the flag banner, the masculine theme, the round ball, and the boy's red shirt as my inspiration.

Scrapbooking Top 50

Vicki's September challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 was to create a LO based on the minimalist/white space style, with 2 photos the same, stamping and buttons.

ARTastic challenge

This LO is for the ARTastic challenge for September. The inspiratiion had to come from the painting "Self Portrait with Monkey" by Frida Kahlo, and you also had to use aphoto of you with a pet, shades of brown and orange and a single tropical flower.

Scrap the Girls

Soooo happy with how this LO came out for the September "Scrap the Girls" challenge. You had to use a white background and a title that had either "new" or "First" in it. Everything except the title and photo are hand cut! Took ages!!

Fathers Day Cards

I made these 2 cards for my Dad and hubby using the September sketch at Handmade by Suzanne

Scrapbooking Top 50

I only managed to get one of the Scrapbooking Top 50 August challenges done! This one was a sketch and you also had to use a jounral block and something clear. I stamped butterflies on acetate.

Scrap the Boys

This is my 2nd layout for Scrap the Boys. This one was the "devil in the detail" challenge and required you to use ribbon in an inventive way. I also used the sketch.
