"Start your engines"

I've challenged myself to take part in the Scrapz.Biz Olympiad, which is a series of sketch challenges with additional components!  I love the Olympics so it seemed like the perfect competition for me!!

The "Opening Ceremony" challenge had the extra requirements of a banner or confetti, something that opens and the word START or BEGIN.

I scrapped the photos of the kids on the start line following last year's Bathurst race!  I created a flap that opens to reveal 2 more photos and a quote.  And being Sunday, my quote is a piece of Scripture....

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”
Hebrews 12:1

Stay tuned for my upload of the next challenge... Archery!

Some cards to share!

I've created a few cards just lately that I haven't shared with you!

The little mermaid card was a special order for a special little girl.  Happy Birthday Ruby!

Challenge Inc "Family"

Today I had a play with the July Sketch challenge at Challenge Inc.

My layout is based on this sketch, and you needed to add handmade flowers.

I have used the Echo Park range- "For the record".

Given that it's Sunday-  my scripture for the day comes from 1 John.

"We love because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19

"So very happy" tutorial

I have a new tutorial for you all to try over at the Scrapbook Boutique blog!

This one features my two favourite scrapbooking styles-  bright colours and fussy cutting!!

I just adored the colours in this Echo Park "Hello Summer" range and they certainly brightened a dull wintery day when I was creating with them!

For all the instructions, pop over to the Scrapbook Boutique blog, and you can get all the materials you need in the Scrapbook Boutique store!

Stuck?! on Scripture Sunday

Happy Sunday!

Today I decided to tackle the Stuck?! July 1st sketch, using some bright and fun Doodlebug papers and embellishments.

Here's the sketch that I have based the layout on.

The scripture for today is from 1 Thessalonians, and is a very simple but incredibly inspiring verse!

"Be joyful always"

1 Thessalonians 5:16 (NIV1984)

"Scrap the Girls" and Scripture Sunday

This week I had a go at the Scrap the Girls monthly challenge, which was to use white, black and one other colour.

I used a verse of scripture from Philippians....

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

Philippians 1:6

English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)
