Proverbs 10:25

"A storm will blow the evil person away,

but a good person will always be safe."

Proverbs 10:25 (NCV)

We'll be cheering madly for our Storm boys to take on the Bulldogs today..... and win!

"We are the Storm from Melbourne Town,
We’ll blow the others off the ground,
We are the Storm and we’re number one."

Psalm 147:8

"He fills the sky with clouds  and sends rain to the earth,
so that the hills  will be green with grass."

Psalm 147:8 (CEV)

I love this photo of Meg, taken at the top of Stanley Nut in Tassie in April last year.  It was a feral day, raining, windy and miserable but it didnt stop us from walking around the top of the nut!

I have created this layout for the Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race, Stop 3- which is Antarctica.

The criteria required were:-
1. white space (mine's pale blue and white spotted white space!)
2. cool colour scheme-
3. texture - I embossed my alphas with the cuttlebug, used textured cardstock and created this cool texture on my cloud sticker (completely by accident!  I added dimensional magic to the stickers and rain drops and was impatient for it to dry so used the heat gun.  Holding it too close caused the DM to bubble and then sink down into this hard crackle effect!)

Matthew 6:22

"The eye is a light for the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light."

Matthew 6:22  New Century Version (NCV)

This is my entry for the second stop in the Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race.

My race takes me to Japan, so I had to use the following criteria:
1. Use a wet medium-    I painted a border of dots around the outside of the layout using Kaisercraft white paint.
2. Use washi tape-  Top corners of my photo
3. Some sort of flora aside from flowers.-  Tree branch with lanterns hanging from it.

PS-  I know my Scripture Sunday is very late from last week!  Let's call it a Scripture Saturday this week, and I'll catch up tomorrow!

"Cool Chicks" tutorial

I'm sooo happy with the way this layout turned out! The shaped edge cardstock from the Little Yellow Bicycle "hello spring" range was a great base to start with, and Meg's hood matched the colours perfectly!

I had a lot of fun with the cuttlebug and the rolled rose dies from "My favourite things".

I added lots of dimension to the layout with foam tape and my trusty helmar liquid scrap dots!

All of the instructions for making this layout can be found at the Scrapbook Boutique blog today, and you can find all the products you'll need in the Scrapbook Boutique online store!

2 Timothy 3:14

"But I want you to continue to follow what you have learned.
Don’t give up what you are sure of.
You know the people you learned it from."

2 Timothy 3:15

New International Reader's Version (NIRV)

At our last Youth and Young Adults service, Kim Beales gave the message based on 2 Timothy 3, and I knew I had to scrap a layout featuring some of the passage!

I have created this layout for the first detour in the Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing race.  The detour was all about posting a letter, so using a verse from Paul's letter to Timothy was a good fit for my Sunday scripture!

The criteria was to use an envelope, stamp or hidden journalling, so I made an envelope!

Proverbs 20:7

"The good people who live honest lives
will be a blessing to their children."

Proverbs 20:7New Century Version (NCV)

I've joined the Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia Amazing Race!

Our first stop is Australia, and the challenge required:-
1. Use Aussie slang on your layout
2. Include an Aussie Image (eg, flag, map, etc.) or an Aussie Animal
3. Use a border punch or scallops - to represent the large iconic structures (opera house, uluru, rugged coastlines)

I used "Good Onya Mate" as my Aussie slang, an Aussie flag bottle top (from Ah Scrap!), and scallops.

It's Father's Day so I wanted to scrap a photo of my Dad, and seeing as I am uploading it on a Sunday, I continued my tradition and used a piece of Scripture from Proverbs 20:7, which was perfect to go with this photo of my Dad being awarded Citizen of the Year at our town's Australia Day celebrations this year!  So proud of you Dad!

And speaking of Father's Day-  here are some Father's Day cards I made!
