Taking a short break....

Greetings friends,

Due to some onging health issues, and the busy time of Christmas and New Year, I'll be taking a break for a few weeks from my regular "Scrapbooking Scripture".  I look forward to continuing to bring you some Scripture each week as part of my scrapbooking, and I'm very hopeful to be back at it by mid January.

In the mean time I want to take this opportunity  to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and hope that you all get to spend some wonderful time with your loved ones, appreciating the true meaning of Christmas.

Blessings,

James 1:17

"Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father
who created all the lights in the heavens"
James 1:17a (CEV)

The 3 beautiful kids in this photo truly are a good and perfect gift for our family!!

This is my entry for this month's "Show us your stuff" challenge, which required a Christmas photo scrapped in non-traditional colours.

I decided to scrap this photo from 2011, taken just as the 3 kids had finished decorating Grandma's tree, and I used mint and peach as my non-traditional colours.

My handmade embellishments for this layout are the accordion folded snowflakes which I made using one of the new Tim Holtz dies.  I also created the swirly glittery background on the white cardstock using a glue pen and fairy dust glitter.

"Decorating the Tree"- Scrapbook Boutique Tutorial

Today it's my turn to share a tutorial over at the Scrapbook Boutique blog!

As much as I love bright and bold papers, I was really taken with the gorgeous muted tones of the Echo Park "Very Merry" and "Dots and Stripes" ranges.

You can find the full instructions at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog, and all the supplies you need can be purchased from the Scrapbook Boutique online store!

Luke 2:14

“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!
Luke 2:14 (RSV)

Mmmmm..... well.....  running late again!  I'm afraid my mojo has been stolen away from me at the moment and its a bit of a struggle to sit down and be creative- but I am determined to ensure I complete my goal of uploading a layout with scripture every week!  I'm not going to beat myself up if it doesn't make it up on a Sunday-  Saturday Scripture is good too right?!!!

This is my entry for Scrap the Boys this month, using non tradition Christmas colours of brown and cream!
